One more month down and one more to go before the end of the year. Like usual this year the Tacoma posted a good month in November while the Tundra finally posted a gain.

May 2016 Truck Sales – Both Toyota Trucks Down

For the first time in months (maybe even years), both Toyota trucks saw a sales drop as the plant closure, lack of selling days versus last year and a down market all contributed to the drop. Ford looks like the only real big winner based on volume, but their car sales were down sharply as well.

While some companies will claim poor weather had an effect on their sales, let’s take a closer look at the numbers and draw some conclusions. Like is Ram maxing out demand? Will GM ever consolidate their numbers to show how much they are trouncing Ford? Toyota continues to see sales increases and nobody seems to care.
