New Tundra Leveling Kit From ReadyLIFT

ReadyLift has come out with a new suspension kit offering for the 2007 – 2011 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. We covered the ReadyLift SST kit in the summer of 2010, a comprehensive lift package aimed at hardcore off-roading enthusiasts. The latest ReadyLift product doesn’t go to the same extremes as the SST kit, but rather works to level out the Tundra’s suspension and reduce the factory rake inherent in all editions of the vehicle.

The ReadyLift T6 Leveling Kit

The ReadyLift T6 Billet 2.5” leveling kit offers a few extra features to set it apart from other competitors on the market. Most notably, the ReadyLift aluminum spacers that are used to lift up the front end of the Tundra bear an anodized finish that can be had in either red, blue, black or silver. The idea is for the blocks to stand out once they have been installed, and there is no doubt that bright red or blue steel will be extra visible given the additional space in the wheel well afforded by the kit.

Rancho quickLIFT Leveling-Lift Kit

Rancho is one of the most trusted names in pickup truck suspension systems, and they build a variety of different shock options for the Toyota Tundra. One of their more recent products is the Rancho quickLIFT system, which has been so well received by the aftermarket industry that it actually won the award for “Best New Off-Road/4Wheel Drive Product” at last year’s SEMA show.

How exactly does the Rancho quickLIFT system live up to the hype? The main idea behind quickLIFT is to provide Tundra owners with an easy way to accommodate the bigger tires (as large as 34″) that are better suited for off-road adventures. Since the Tundra comes with a fairly appreciable factory rake, quickLIFT levels out the pickup by lifting the front suspension through the raising of the front coil spring seats, giving owners an additional 2 to 2.5 inches to play with.

The Bilstein 5100 Leveling Kit – First Look

According to Bilstein, most spacer leveling kits are inferior to their new 5100 Series adjustable leveling shocks. Designed for truck and SUV applications, Bilstein’s 5100’s are meant to raise up the front end while avoiding the compromises that come with using spacer kits. Bilstein claims their kits offer 2 inches more of suspension up-travel while increasing ride height as much as 2.75″, without increasing coilover assembly length.

Breaking down the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Leveling Kit - pros and cons

While we haven’t installed a set of these shocks on a truck yet, we have reviewed Bilstein’s literature and we have some notes for anyone considering buying this kit. First, however, before you can recognize the difference between Bilstein’s new adjustable height leveling kit and similar kits from ReadyLift, Truxxx, Low Range Off-Road, or Toytec, you’ve got to know a little bit about suspension lifts in general.

RIZE Industries Toyota Tundra Leveling Kit

There are a number of reasons why people choose to install leveling kits on their Tundras. Sometimes, the desired effect is aesthetic – some owners prefer a truck that’s horizontally flat rather than a truck with a slight forward rake (which the Tundra comes with out of the box). There are also those who have a heavy accessory on the front end – like a winch or bumper guard – that are looking to level out their truck to reduce front-end suspension sag.

There are also a lot truck owners that are looking to upgrade their tire size, and a leveling kit (a.k.a. front-end lift) is one way to fit bigger tires on your truck (without a lot of tire rub). No matter what you’re looking for, a leveling kit is an inexpensive accessory that won’t hurt your warranty. (For more info, check out our guide to Tundra lift kits and Tundra leveling kits).
