Facing a tough yen and a weak dollar, Toyota has announced plans on becoming the top exporter of vehicles manufactured in North America. The new plan means Toyota will out export the so called big 3; General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.

Via Motors recently announced plans to introduce an electric-powered GM-based pickup truck at this month’s North American International Auto Show, being held in Detroit. Boasting potential fuel economy of 100mpg, the truck is what is being called an extended-range electric vehicle, or eREV, for short.
2012 Dakar Rally – Will the Toyota Tundra Team Take Home a Trophy?
The first 16 stages of the 2012 Dakar Rally have been completed. Naturally, the Toyota Tundra team looks strong, though there is a separate Toyota Tacoma team in the running as well. Originally, the rally raid went through Europe and Africa, though due to security threats it has been moved to South America. The race has been aired on the new NBC Sports Channel.
GM Forgets To Add Brake Pads To New Cars – Simple Mistake or Same-old Same-old?
General Motors is recalling thousands of 2012 Chevy Sonic subcompact cars because the inner and outer brake pads may be missing. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the missing brake pads could reduce the vehicle’s brake system performance and increase the risk of a crash.
