The full-size 2012 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4X4 is the better choice compared to the 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Quad Cab, according to a head-to-head comparison test that was conducted by Philly.com. A Philly.com reviewer recently took the two full-size pickup trucks for a spin, paying close attention to powertrain options, cabin and cargo space, the way the trucks drive and how easy the trucks are to maneuver.
Toyota Pulls Plug on Texas Plant Since Local Lawmakers “Won’t Buy Our Trucks”
In response to the recent media coverage surrounding local Texas governments not having Toyota’s in their fleet even though the Tundra/Tacoma plant is nearby, Toyota officials have decided to end all production in Texas. The plan is to move somewhere else, where Toyota can get mo’ respect.

2014 Tundra Rumor – No Major Exterior Changes?
According to a post on TundraSolutions, an employee at an Indianapolis area dealership claimed to have seen some preliminary images of the 2013/2014 Tundra. The employee said that the next-generation Tundra will have only minor exterior changes, with slight modifications to the grille and tail lights.
Mean Green Volvo Hybrid Attempts World Speed Record
At a recent auto show, Volvo announced that its Mean Green Hybrid Truck, billed as the world’s fastest hybrid truck, will attempt to reach speeds in excess of 260 km/h (165 mph) on April 27 at Wendover Airfield, Utah. This is yet another attempt by Volvo to set/beat its own world speed records (see video below for previous speed record attempt).
