Toyota Recalls 130,000 2014 Tundra Trucks – Side Airbag Install Flaw
Tim Esterdahl | Sep 11, 2014 | Comments 0
Toyota says it will recall 130,000 2014 Tundra pickup trucks due to a problem with side airbags. This recall likely affects every new 2014 Tundra built so far.
Apparantly, an incorrectly installed piece of trim on the vehicle’s center pillar may stop the depolyment of the side airbags. This likely says to us, there was a miscommunication between the design team and the assembly process.
Officially, Toyota said it is not aware of any injuries or fatalities related to the condition.
As with all recalls, owners can expect a letter in the mail within the next few weeks. If you have a concern, you can also call Toyota’s customer service number.
