The Toyota Tundra pulled off the remarkable feat of towing the Space Shuttle Endeavour in front of a large audience and many media outlets. This remarkable tow was the result of months of planning by Toyota’s top engineers. Toyota showed lots of confidence in its full-size pickup by ordering a stock Tundra from a local dealer. No modifications here or secrecy. While it was a huge success, it also could have been a spectacular disaster if something went wrong.
