Typically, the crazy lifted and modified trucks you see at the Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show are built with months of planning and preparation time. However, Transamerican Auto Parts is raising the ante by building the truck on site. In a week. With plenty of “helpers” watching.
The week-long build (the show is a week as well) is going to take a 2016 Toyota Tundra SR5 and equip it with a variety of upgrades and parts from Transamerican brands. Like Pro Comp wheels and tires and an Smittybilt Adventure Box. Plus, aftermarket partners like Magnaflow Exhaust, Rigid Industries (lights), All-Pro Off-Road, Bedslide, AMP Research and Yeti coolers. There will also be a variety of undisclosed interior upgrades. Finally, the truck will be wrapped with TrueTimber’s “Urban Viper” vehicle wrap.
After the SEMA show, the plan is for the truck to be shown at various truck and off-road enthusiast events nationwide. It will eventually be given away as part of a joint national marketing campaign between Transamerican, 4 Wheel Parts and Bass Pro Shops – a build partner.
You can check it the build at booth 62112 at the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience Arrea outside of the South Hall in the Silver Lot at the 2016 SEMA show running from November 1-4, 2016.
