Professional angler Britt Myers is building the “Ultimate Fishing Tundra” that will be on display at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV. It will take the idea of the Tundra as a fisherman’s truck to the max.

Myers came up with the idea for the truck and is putting his name and his company, North Carolina-based CS Motorsports, to work modifying 2012 Toyota CrewMax. He also solicited ideas from the Toyota Tundra Pro Angler team of Kevin VanDam, Terry “Big Show” Scroggins, Mike Iaconelli and Gerald “G-Man” Swindle. (Translation we think they probably sat around, drank beer and had a “wouldn’t it be cool …” conversation.)

The Toyota Tundra CewMax has ample power to haul fishing gear, so Myers said his focus will be on other items. The first idea is to alter the bed into a fisherman’s paradise.

He said, “”it will have a bed-area tackle storage system that looks like a Bass Pro Shop aisle. It’ll have tackle, reels, rods and even a refrigerator.”

Also in the plan is to develop an automatic, motorized delivery system for the bed to bring all the goodies to the fisherman instead of having to retrieve them manually.

While the bed will be significantly altered, the interior will also be transformed to fit a fisherman’s need. The rear-bench will be removed and bucket seats will be installed. Next, a custom-built fiberglass console will be added that stretches from the dash to the rear cab wall. This console will house built-in video monitors and subwoofers. The front doors will be altered as well with custom panels to house additional speakers and video monitors that can display Navionics lake-mapping options or fishing movies (your choice!).

Not wanting to get stuck out on a boggy trail road, the Tundra will get a TRD Big Brake Kit and a 12-inch suspension lift. Myers also added the TRD supercharger and exhaust system for more power. And it will also have a custom roof rack with LED lighting to help store fishing rods. Lastly, a specially-designed grille will add the finishing touches to this truly custom ride.

The completed truck will be on display at the 2012 SEMA show. We can’t wait to see some pictures!
