Toyota Reveals 2012 T-Force Tundra Texas Edition

Toyota recently unveiled a special Toyota Tundra T-Force 2.0 Texas Edition for their loyal American fan base at the Texas Star Fair. They plan on only making 500 of this one-of-a-kind truck for the Gulf-States area.
After last year’s Tundra packages from the State Fair were so well received, Toyota felt an encore was in order according to Bob Carter, Toyota Division Group Vice President and General Manager. The result is an upgrade to the already-stellar Tundra T-Force 2.0.
This special edition truck will feature some unique modifications including:
- Diamond-cut 20” alloy wheels
- Chrome grill
- Bolt-on fender look
- Matte-black Predator tube steps
- Specially-textured black running boards
- Pocketed fender flares
- T-Force (for Texas) decal floor mats
- T Force fender badge
All of these features add to the ‘Lone-Star-state appeal’ of this limited-edition Tundra. It will also feature all-terrain tires and a decorative chrome layout paying homage to the spirit of Texas.
Texas is known as the epicenter of full-size trucks and Toyota has had an increasingly growing footprint in this area. Since 2007, the Tundra has been built in their San Antonio plant and the Tacoma began production there last summer.
The full-sized American-built pickup truck will only be sold in Texas and will come packed with a $1000 discount bonus. With a large pay-load capacity, a smooth transmission system and more powerful drive train compared to other comparable full-size trucks, the Tundra is arguably the best truck on the market, and most certainly the only truck sold in Texas that is also made in Texas.

Nice, an additional 1K discount. But, how much extra do all these other options actually increase the cost to the consumer? 3-4K guessing? Is it worth it, for me, no way, but for some, mabye so?
mk – I think it’s $3k. It’s only worth it if you were going to buy all those accessories anyways…or at least that’s my opinion.
I beg to differ….don’t really see anything unique about this truck. It’s not up to TXTee standards to be Texas edition worthy. 🙂
