Apparently, Smart USA doesn’t take kindly to people knocking it for being frail as blogger Clayton Hove learned. He joked on Twitter. com that he ” Saw a bird had crapped on a Smart Car. Totaled it.” Smart USA responded with an impressive Infographic.

Smart USA fires back with a Poop Chart?

Smart USA's unusual response to a Twitter comment. Note to Twitter users, before careful what you say, you might get pooped on.

Yep, you saw that right. They actually determined how much poop it would take to damage the car. According to Smart, the car’s structure could withstand up to 9,000 pounds of pressure. This equals about 4.5 million pounds of excrement.

Here is the actual exchange.

What a response! Social media is supposed to be helping bring people closer together and many companies have been active about supporting their brand. Yet, we haven’t seen a response quite like this to any other Twitter comments.

Naturally, we wonder how much poop a Toyota Tundra can withstand. We have contacted the guys at Toyota and are awaiting a response. We will keep you posted.

    Hmmm, interesting.
Honestly, I hope Toyota does not respond to your request.
I would rather see J2807 facts thrown around rather comical ones. Toyota should resurrect the effort to take the big three on like they did back in ’07 and ’08, but concentrate on towing. To this day, the Tundra is still very competitive, even with the new Ford engine lineup and GM’s HD lineup. For example, Ford has not complied with the J2807 standard. Second, the Tundra is rated to tow more than some 3/4 ton GM’s. This has been a chance for Toyota since they complied with the standard–Toyota, I hope you are reading this!

    Sorry to disagree with you.

      LJC,

I don’t think Toyota would agree to my request either. 🙂

I was just surprised/impressed Smart USA did one.

Seriously Smart USA? Your vehicle isn’t worth the trouble. No safety there if you were to hit a truck. Your mpg’s aren’t high enough for the little room your car gives. Who gives a poop how much poop you think your car can handle.
