Minor Toyota Tundra Recall Over Sticker

If you own a 2011 Toyota Tundra and you bought it from Gulf States Toyota, then your truck may be under a recall. This news is far less serious than it may sound. There are currently over 500 Toyota Tundra pick up trucks that are being recalled due to a sticker with improper information after certain wheel and tire packages were installed. The stickers that are being recalled provide the wrong load carrying capacity of the 2011 Toyota Tundra.
Gulf States is a private distributor of Toyotas in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma, and offers options and packages that often differ from features available through Toyota Motor Sales, Inc., USA.If your Tundra is one of the over 500 trucks that is being recalled, then you can take your vehicle into that distributor who is obligated to replace the sticker. This may seem like a lot of hassle for a sticker, but the proper carrying capacity is necessary to know if you plan on hauling any large loads. If you were to exceed the carrying capacity of the truck, then this can cause wear to the tires and can even potentially cause a crash.
It can be alarming to hear that your vehicle has been recalled, but this is the best possible case. The sticker swap should only take a few minutes.

I wouldn’t waste my gas and time to just go in and replace a sticker. I haven’t even and probably never will take my tundra in for the gas pedal or floor mat recall and if they ask, I will decline, no biggie to me. Both recalls are a joke in my book and so is this one.
I might if it was the gas pedal but not the floor mat I can remove that…
Still waiting for that gas pedal to stick – ya right, like that will happen???? I also have a death wish since dealer knows as well as me that I have 2 floormats stacked one on top of each other which is a total safety hazard – yah right????
Personally I would take my truck in if was on the recall list no matter what or why it was recalled. You help Toyota with their record keeping by doing that. Yes I had the shim done and I also had a new pedal installed. A good reason why to have the recall done/or at least tell them no so they can update their records. FORD recalls the cruise control on their pickups and explorers for the second time years later because most of the recalls sent out weren’t done and fires continue to happen to the Ford vehicles. That cost money to have recalls done. WHo do you think pays for that? Ever wonder why every year there’s an increase in cost on a vehicle? You can’t stay in business if you operate losing money all the time.
Thanks God , i don’t have 2011 toyota tundra, so a bit free from recall.
i don’t know what the quality assurance department of Toyota is doing?
HaHaHa
“will” i would say you should have one !!
this is done totally by mistake and they accept it thats why they are recalling .
this would be only a few minutes recall.so dont worry.
