Making Fun of Toyota’s Tundra TV Ads

“Truckers know that….blah blah blah.” I’m a HUGE fan of the Tundra, but the voice-over guy in those Tundra commercials is really starting to wear on me. To be honest, I never really liked that part of the Tundra TV ads in the first place…but since the stunts were so cool, it was easy to ignore him. Now, a few years later, the stunts are no longer fresh and I’m starting to focus on the guy who sounds like a cross between Wilford Brimley and the Cowboy from The Big Lebowski (whose name in real life is Sam Elliot).
The Tundra commercial voice-over guy sounds like a cross between these two...
So, in honor of the somewhat annoying voice in the Tundra commercials, here are a couple of gag videos found on Funny or Die.
First, here’s a “behind the scenes” video that makes fun of the fact Toyota is trying so hard to co-opt the real “trucker” image.
Next, a video that makes fun of the use of the word “tranny” in Toyota’s Killer Heat Tundra Superbowl commercial. Juvenile, but only 30 seconds of your life will be wasted.
Also, just for fun, you might want to check out the new Swagger Wagon rap video that Toyota produced. Even if rap isn’t your taste, this video is pretty hilarious. Toyota has done a great job promoting the new Sienna (at least according to me).

My brother sent me the swagger wagon video and it was absolutely hillarious! If i had young kids, i’d prob get one. Not because it’s cool? but for functionality. btw, we call the HHR the shaggin wagon. LOL!!!!!

Swagger Wagon is too good. I live that song. Right in the middle of something epic I hear a little whisper “I need to potty”. So epic can wait cause potty can’t.
Some people fight changes in their life, It goes so much better when you accept it and stop hanging on to the past. I love my Sienna as much as I love my Tundra.

I saw your ad on T.V. and to say the least,I feel that the one for one of your rangers or S.U.V. is rude and wrong for people who are like me and drive late models S.U.V.S and by you making a young boy saying he belongs to a “nerd” family is uncalled for!!!!Making us who are at high risk of unemployment can’t buy new things like you rich people can, just run out and buy junk and not even american.YOU should be ashamed of yourself for running an ad as this one. A group of people as are my friends may be forgiving then again maybe not,only depends on how many times WE see your ad and in fact should not be aired again!!!!
