North Texas Toyota dealers have an interesting take on the corporate companies relocation to that area. They hope Toyota executives see first-hand all the full-size trucks on the road and this will spur them to commit more resources to the Tundra.
UPDATE : Toyota Plans to Move U.S. Headquarters
UPDATE: Toyota has made it official through various press releases that they will be making major changes to their various headquarters. They will be building a new campus in North Dallas (Plano), Texas that will combine their Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS); Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA); and Toyota Motor North America (TMA) as the Toyota affiliates unify their respective headquarters there to create a single, state-of-the-art Toyota headquarters and pursue the One Toyota vision in North America.
Much like the Big 3 in Detroit, this new headquarters complex will allow the company to share information faster and receive cost savings through shared resources. Our previous story is below and scroll to the bottom to find copies of the press releases.
Several news outlets are reporting that Toyota will move its U.S. headquarters from Torrance, California to near Plano, Texas.
