Product Review: Nasta Step Bars

Mark, one of our readers, provided us with a review of Nasta’s stainless steel step bars for the Toyota Tundra. Thanks for your efforts Mark – other Tundra owners will be grateful!
The complete Nasta step bar kit. Download the installation instructions (pdf).
The step bars themselves are made from stainless steel, so they look good, they’re strong, yet still lightweight. Nasta adds a protective wrap to the steps so you can make certain you don’t scratch them during install – a nice touch. Installation is simple enough because the truck is pre-drilled for step bars at the factory. Start by opening up the box and making sure you have all the parts, then get under your truck and remove all the factory bolts from the stock mounting holes.
Brackets attached to factory drilled mounting holes.
Next, you’ll need to mount all brackets to the truck. Make sure to hand tighten the bolts at first – you still need to make sure the step bar is level before you tighten the brackets. Once you’ve made sure the bars go on level, you can tighten the bolts down and check it out.
Step bars installed. Close-up of the step bar pad.
Marks’ son Jackson was gracious enough to do some durability testing for his dad. Thanks again to Mark and Jackson for this review.
Mark’s son Jackson tests the new step bars. Stainless steel bars look good on the cleaned up truck.

Just put some Nasta Step Bars on my 09 Tundra 5.7 Reg Cab Long Box and they are sweet. Light and strong, They are made well, and look great.
Was rather difficult to find something for regular cab with long box, but these fit the bill nicely.
They look the same as Trail FX which I have.
The Nasta product came highly recommended from a local after market supplier for two reasons
1. all hardware (that is the nut, bolts, clips, etc..) is all stainless steel.
2. the end of the bars are steel. No rubber or plastic caps that fall off and then dirt and water are inside the step bar.
I decided to buy these over the others for my 08 Tundra DC 4×4 TRD and they are nice. The price was about $40 more, but worth it for the stainless hardware and build quality.
I highly recommend them.
Chris – Thanks for the info – good comment.
I cannot find this model for sale anywhere. A little help plz. I tried Nasta but the model is discontinued apparently. I want this model because it has the 4 supports per side.
I need to know the price for the nasta step bars for Toyota Tundra 2007
manuel – We don’t sell em. Try Googling it! 🙂

I installed a set of “Raptor” SS 5″ oval nerf bars on my 2010 SR5 CrewMax. They were well made with the ends being all stainless, integrated into the body seamlessly, a quality detail that urged me to purchase. Hardware though is not stainless but so far has not been an issue.
I swapped these bars on to my new 2012 CrewMax and realized Toyota changed the bolt locations for their bars. They still hook up, though on only two locations. I have to get a shop that can do welding to provide the two remaining holes.
The Nasta bars look great (from above pics) and the 4 mounts are more secure than mine are. I didn’t know about them, would have considered same.
