When pictures of the 2014 Toyota Tundra came out, there were (still are) many critics who say that the dash looks like other trucks. This got us to thinking. How many of the new dashes look alike? Can you name them all?

Name that Dash - Can You Guess Them All?

Full-size truck dashes are starting to become more similar. Can you name them all?

Here are the pictures of the contenders. Each of the 6 major full-size truck manufactures dashes are shown: Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram 1500, Ford F-150, GMC Sierra, Honda Ridgeline and Nissan Titan. How many can you guess correctly WITHOUT the use of Google? Post your answers in the comments below:

      “Ditto”!

The Tundra interior, the best of the bunch in my opinion, is a good improvement with some F-150 overtones. I was thinking maybe those front seats ( and console? ) might fit in my ’12!

I thought the Ridgeline was no longer being manufactured?

The Ram went south with that ‘Jag’ trans selector dial on the dash. The Tundra’s 5.7 is much better than the underpowered Hemi.

Everyone I talk to says their Ecoboost F-150 gets ‘poor’ mpg. But it’s still a good truck.

The new Chevy is even uglier, has only a 9″ ring gear but with vastly improved interior. We’ll see how that goes.

The Titan was due for full makeover. A diesel will only help them.

Ridgeline is a full size truck?

Wow. I guess I don’t get out much. I don’t think I can name any. Of course I spend my time in a 1985 Toyota.

I do have a base model 2011 Ford Expedition at work, and none of the photos match. Those must be luxury models.

Mickey is right so i dont need to list them. What my opinion is is that the new tundra has the best interior by far. Second place i would go with Ram. GM sucks nissan is old and outdated ford looks to small and ridgeline is just weak.

  5. Mickey says:

I agree with Brian and Tonyspin. Just because it has a small bed doesn’t make it a truck. Remember Ford, Chevy, VW had these car/trucks ie. El Camino, Ranchero, and can’t nor do I want to remember VW’s name for it’s (thing) like vehicle. They were listed as Cars. I forgot Cadillac had one too.

    • GoI3ig says:

VW had a car called the “Thing” It looked like a WWII German officer’s car. They also had a “truck” built on the VW Rabbit chassis. It even came in a diesel version. Gutless, but great on fuel economy.

I agree that these aren’t really trucks. If so, what the heck was the Subaru Brat?

What gave away alot of these dashes for me was the little tattletale desins like for the Tundra. The center console in the back looks lik the same as mine. Ram’s give away is the dial to put it in gear instead of a shift. Sierra was the hood you can see. Titan was that it never changed and it looks old. Ridgeline was that it looked very small so that was what gave me that. Ford well need I say more…..

    • Mickey,

One of my many reasons for running this post is to show visually how much the interiors are starting to become similar. Your point about the little things is exactly what I am seeing. The majority of the interiors will look close to each other, the differences will start to become personal preference more than anything else.
