Thanks Jason for the info and deals. Here’s something you might want to do a little research. 8 speed tranny’s and diesel’s for a Tundra in 2014 (maybe).

Mickey – Thank you for the link. Hadn’t heard anything yet about a 7 or 8 speeed transmission, but that does make some sense. I’ll poke around.

BTW, did you see this link? https://www.tundraheadquarters.com/blog/2014-tundra-what-to-expect/

    There’s some more info there.

Mickey – Hilarious! A Tundra pulling an F150 trailer.

Did you take that pic yourself?

  7. John says:

That trailer in the pic is from Ford’s cross country tour with the new Ecoboost F-150. They bring other manufacturer’s trucks for the test drives as well. The enclosed trailer has a water tank that weighs 6,500 lbs. The idea is that people can drive all of the trucks right after another to see how they handle the load differently. The tour is almost halfway over and based off test driver’s feedback the Tundra is in last place in all categories. 🙁

No Jason I didn’t just found it and thought it was amusing. As for Ford taking this across the country it’s no different than the joker from the dirtiest jobs trying to push Ford products. He takes a Ford with everything going up against another manufacturer with a baseline product. The only Ford product I would think about is the Crown Vic. It had 2 shortfalls from what I remember. They fixed the sunroof in 04 but never fixed the mpg. Our 03 would only get 16-18mpg.

  9. Jason (Admin) says:

John – Good to know – that makes a lot of sense. As for the results of the survey, do you know when or where Ford will publish this info?

Mickey – I’m a huge fan of the Crown Vic – especially the supercharged Mercury version (the Marauder) that made an appearance a few years ago. There’s one problem that you might not know about – some people claim they explode when rear-ended. While I’m not sure if this is true (as a matter of fact I think it’s probably not) there’s quite a bit of data out there to support this argument.
