U.S. News Rankings and Reviews – Best Cars
U.S. News says: “The consensus? Reviewers say that while the Tundra is outdone when it comes to handling, style and fuel economy, it is still an excellent all-around choice.”

Edmunds.com
Edmunds says that, despite the Tundra’s faults, it “remains a well-built and thoroughly competent truck.”

Cars.com
Cars.com says: “Toyota made sure this Tundra wouldn’t have sand kicked in its face by designing a big, brawny pickup that looks like it could bully any truck on the market — at least from the front.”

Auto Guide
Autoguide.com says: “Inside, the Tundra, is decidedly car-like. Anybody used to driving a Corolla or Camry would feel at home here. The seats are wide and very comfortable with decent support and rake adjustment. In Double Cab and especially Crew Max models there’s also plenty of room for back seat riders, standard cab trucks, despite having some of the longest doors of any full-size pickup, don’t have a huge amount of storage space behind the seats.”

Kelley Blue Book
KBB says: “The 2011 Toyota Tundra has dared to tread on sacred territory, namely the domestic full-size pickup market, and done so with surprising success.”

Car and Driver
Car and Driver says: “The Tundra is a capable truck, especially when equipped with the powerful 5.7-liter V-8. Those looking for a big truck with less thirst can choose the 4.0-liter V-6—upgraded for 2011 to 270 hp—or the 4.6-liter V-8. The interior is cavernous, especially in the extended-length CrewMax cab.”

The Car Connection
The Car Connection says: “The interior may be a letdown in quality, but the 2011 Toyota Tundra is every bit as big and tough as the other full-size trucks.”

  1. Mike T says:

The Tundra is a well outfitted pickup with a comfortable cabin. When it was first launched, the full-size Toyota Tundra raised the bar on working truck interiors. Little has changed since then, save the choice of a bench front seat on Double Cabs.

  2. will says:

The suspension is comfortable and conquers road imperfections with ease. I would have liked to have gotten this TRD model muddy and splattered, but (sniff) it was not to be. On normal surfaces, the Tundra is well-mannered and maintains its bearing. The driver is never unsettled or nervous, despite the sheer size of this.
