5 Cheap Gift Ideas For Truck Owners (That Don’t Suck)

We’ve already told you what the great, “cool” gifts for truck owners are, but they’re all sort of expensive (except maybe the Carriage Works chrome billet grille).
If you’re not looking to spend a ton of cash, here’s a list of gifts for truck owners that don’t cost a lot of money.
1. Simple, well-built and above all handy, the Bon-Aire Original Ultimate Hose Nozzle is a solid addition to any detailer or weekend car wash fanatic’s gear collection. It receives our hardiest recommendation…and it’s only $20.
2. This is the most expensive gift idea on the list, but it’s a really popular item. Check out our review of the Equus 3100 diagnostic scanner / code reader. Basically, this little baby tells you what’s wrong with your 1996 or newer truck whenever the check engine light comes on. It’s about $85, which means it will pay for itself really quickly.
3. The LifeHammer – What better way to show you care than to get someone a gift that just might save their life? This little hammer can bust a vehicle window with a modest strike, making it a potential life-saver after a crash when a vehicle door won’t open. It’s only $20, and who doesn’t love a hammer?
4. Blitz Rhino Ramps for do-it-yourself’ers. Engine oil must be changed, and a lot of people have become accustomed to either squeezing under their cars or relying upon jack stands to hold their vehicle up during an oil change. Trouble is, jack stands aren’t very safe. Ramps, on the other hand, are very safe. Blitz’s Rhino Ramps are inexpensive (less than $40), lightweight, and a great way to show the person who changes the oil that you care about them enough to keep them from getting squished.
5. A New Toyota Tundra. OK – it’s not a real Toyota Tundra, but it’s new, less than $30, and it might be good for a laugh. Just don’t forget to buy the batteries.
Be sure to check out our Recommended Portable GPS guide too – you can get a very nice GPS unit for about $100.

Actually that code reader sounds intresting. For a home mechanic it’s a tool worth the price.
Gotta love a great comeback. 😉
I have one of those scanners, used it once. You left out the seat belt cutter, ramps and R/C.
Please don’t be offended, but I deleted Bobby’s comment, Mickey’s rebuttal, and one of Ed’s comments because they had absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this post. If people are interested in arguing about Ford vs. Toyota, there are plenty of other posts they can comment on that are more related.
In the famous words of our president, Thank You.
LOL – I’m very hesitant to delete comments (especially comments left by you, Mickey, TXTee, mk, and the others who comment regularly), but I didn’t want to see this post turn into a debate. I want people to get gift ideas and click on those links! 🙂
Not offended and point noted to stick to the topic at hand. They did offer a Crewmax remote control at Bass Pro Shops but for $40. I guess the bigger cab cost another $10.
So let me get this straight you will delete some comments that get off track but not others. So why is the deer accident still up under the floor mat issue. You just pick and choose Jason, how about some continuity. Is that to much to ask for?
Bobby – I appreciate where you’re coming from. If I had it to do over again, I would have disabled comments on this post.
Mickey – Thanks man – good to hear.
