I owned my sr5 2000 tundra 4 x 4 single cab since about 2003. I bought the truck used and I was happy for a long time! I worked at a Hospital in Charleston West Virginia, so I had to get to work in the snow and ice, plus we (my wife and I) bought a farm after we had the truck for a while. I was changing the engine oil one day and I started to notice some rust around the frame where all the steering, ball joints, springs, engine mounts, transfer case, and really every where. I got a little concerned and took the truck to one of the cities dealerships, and at that time the said they were talking about putting a spray on the frame to solve the problem. So I kinda forgot about the rust for a time, and never ever heard anything about a classaction lawsuit and that Toyota had settled and was going to replace frames with 10mm holes in them this ending in 2012. Now it is 2017 and I am going to take pictures of my frame and truck, mileage is only 105k and all the front stering arms, and all the stuff there is dangerous to drive now! I was coming home and turned in drive way, the frame ripped a hole around torsion bar. I live close to Advantage Toyota near the Huntington Mall and going to make an appointment for them to inspect that junk frame! Everything is good except the frame and some of the pieces connected to the frame. I’ll get some pictures, Where should I send the pictures of the rust eaten frame? Tony Pratt have always owned Toyota vehicles.
